- You are invited to take part in the TAMPER BEST-SCORE CONTEST!
-
- 1ST PRIZE: 486 COMPUTER SYSTEM.
- Not a cheap, scaled-down system. This prize will include, at a
- minimum: a 486 DX (not SX) processor, 8 mb memory, a 200 meg hard
- disk, SVGA monitor, VESA local bus, a mouse and software.
-
- 2ND PRIZE: MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTION.
- Five 2nd prizes will be awarded: a one-year subscription to a
- general-market, monthly computer magazine of your choice. Select
- from PC Magazine, Byte, Computer Shopper, and others.
-
- 3RD PRIZE: BOX OF DISKETTES.
- Twenty 3rd prizes will be awarded: a box of ten high-density
- diskettes in the format you prefer. Also, all winners will be
- listed in our press release sent to gaming and computer media.
-
- To enter this contest, you absolutely must be a registered user of Tamper.
- You do not need to have played the winning game on a registered version of the
- program, but you must be registered to enter. This means you can start playing
- to win right now and register later. You may enter as often as you like, and
- can win more than one prize.
-
- This contest starts April 28, 1993 and continues until January 1, 1995. All
- entries must be received by VORCO TECHNOLOGIES prior to January 1, 1995.
-
- All games eligible for this contest must have been played solitaire, with
- only one player participating in the game. The reason for this requirement is
- so that no contestant can create fictitious opponents and then use those turns
- to "throw" the game. Doing so, a player could essentially have twelve Tampers
- to use for his or her benefit. Sorry, only solitaire games are permitted as
- entries to this contest.
-
- The score of a game is defined as the number of rounds for a player to reach
- a net worth of $100,000. The lower the number of rounds, the better the score.
-
- Winners will be determined by the following criteria:
-
- (1) best score
- if a tie, then... (2) most worth
- if a tie, then... (3) most cash
- if a tie, then... (4) random drawing
-
- Please do not call and ask us what the best score is so far. We cannot tell
- you--and may not even know. As a practical guideline, you might consider any
- score under 120 as a reasonable entry. Understand that we have no idea in
- advance of what the winning score will be, or the cutoff point for winners. A
- list of winners and scores will be published after the contest ends. If you
- want to see a copy when available, simply let us know.
-
- When you register, you will receive further information about this contest,
- including instructions on how to enter. (See the file REGISTER.DOC for details
- on becoming a registered user.) Remember, you can start playing in this contest
- right now! Good luck. And may the best player win!
